Recently bought the phone Siemens S65, the sticker in the battery compartment shows that the phone is produced by BenQ / Made in China.
Checking the software showed:
Production date: 2006-03-20
SW: 50
Variant: S100
Std-Map/SW: 1/50

And the battery in the phone is with the capacity of 820mAh

Siemens has got factories all over the world...
so, siemens phones are produced in Germany, Denmark, China, Hungary, Brazil...

All my phones are made in germany. Smile

one time, there was public inquiry, "Where was made your Siemens"

Yes, I know that Siemens has the factories all around the world, but the point here is that S65 is not made by Siemens, but made by BenQ in China - March the 20th, 2006. This could be the sign that Siemens is completely stopping the production of the mobile phones...

All my previous Siemens phones were also made in Germany (S55, C65, CX65,CXT70, another S65...), but it seems that in the future phones made in Germany will be very rare...

But it's probably only sticker from service... Think

I also had CX70 with the original SIEMENS sticker and when it came from service, there was a Manufactured by BENQ sticker - they have changed whole RF board with the new sticker
