Guys is it possible to tell me (with all the details) how to install elf's and where to find the appropriate programms? My phone is E71 ver45. THANK YOU in advance!

How to patch E71 was described very recently on MoDoPo.com: HOW TO (German).

For better understanding you could translate the whole text by the great Google Translator.

ElfPack 2.2 for E71v45 is here.

If you are a German, it will be no problem. There could be a similiar "How to" in Russian language, too, because Germans and Russians are the main pioneers in patching new Siemenses.

For v2.2 and above, it's very tricky compared to v2.0 and below that. Until now, I never succeed on applying it to my S75. It always turns out dead, so I have to undo the patch.

As for E71, it requires test point as been pointed by ccd98.

Using patches and elf's is the same thing? Both need test point or buying the code for E71? (Then I have to forget everything. With my S55 was very easy)

You only can apply elfpack thru patch. This means you'll need to perform testpoint in order to bypass the bootcore so you can connect your E71 with patching application such as VKlay.

There's another way to connect it to VKlay, but I'm not sure how to do it. May be you can search this forum using keyword 'buying bootkey'?

Funny that you've bring up this elfpack, I also would like to know, is there anybody in this forum that succesfully update the elfpack 2.0 to 2.2 and above?

By the way does anybody here know how can I listen to the radio through the phone's speaker and not through the handset's speaker?

I'm afraid that I'm not capable to provide you the solution step-by-step.

There are still further steps to be followed once you get the bootkey, such as calculate the Skey and generate ke bootloader for VKlay.

After that, you're still need to apply the patches one by one to avoid sudden error.
