Hi to all Siemens Fans!
I have Siemens SXG75 Prototype (white color, IMEI starts with 004400) and some functions are not working, so I need your help.

There are no pictures, music in phone and I can't go into music player and file manager, same as in camera and video capture.
Also GPS application won't start.

Is this hardware problem or is there solution to fix this phone?

Yes. Flash FW and customization. But be carefull! Flash FW for prototype. If you flash FW for normal (not prototype) sxg75, you can brick your sxg!

Do not use FW for serial SXG75, you will kill your SXG75!!
Because prototypes have Samsung chip with only 64MB (type:MMSZ or MMTZ).
Against serial SXG75 have Toshiba with 128MB (type: MMTO)
I dont know about prototype firmware. I know only FW: 12, 22, 26 for serial.
But what version Firmware do you have?? (*#06# -> SVN).
Dont you want to make whole dump memory for me??
And maybe there is possible way to update (through OBL Multi-image)..

OK, it seems you dont have prototype you have serial SXG75 with white cover. You should use FW from Siemensmania, Flash update - FW 22 or FW 26.
What numbers had your original IMEI?? (00... or 35...).

He has a proto, his original IMEI starts with 0040.

Maybe you have a 64Mb flash, than the customisation needed just cannot be flashed, as you hav only 7 Megs or so of filespace for files, whereas a new customisation takes around 23 Megs.

To be sure on size and type of flash chip check with QPST Gang Flash Image Application, I don't remember now on details, will post later.

There is one workaround - copy the backup of needed files directly to the fs with BREW Mobile Commander 2.0.

Ask somebody on the forum regarding backup of files.

SXG is definitely a prototype; behind battery is 0044... IMEI and "not for sale" but in *#06# I have IMEI starting with 35... ? maybe because I changed NV items or...?
Brew Mobile Commander in phone info says that IMEI is 35...

Before my proto died, i have made a filebackup of the files to HDD. It was with English, Russian and Ukrainian only, and without custom themes, sounds, java, and graphics. If I find it, I will post it Smile
