I get problem when playing MP3 I have stored on RS-MMC.
The MP3 songs always "jump" (sound was not smoothly playing).
I have tried with 3 kind of RS-MMC : 32MB Sandisk, 256MB V-Gen and 1GB Kingston.
I use 23in1 Card Reader to format it in FAT.
Is here anyone have the same experience? How to improve the sound quality?

Regards,

Herry Potter

Hi there!

I use takeMS dual voltage RS-MMC (1GB) in my M75, and I haven't experienced this kind of problem yet. The sound becames unsmooth if editing the playlist while playing it, but only, if I browse too fast among the songs... So, my suggestion is to format the card with the phone and first try copy files only via the phone if possible. If after this everything is the same, I have no more idea...

try to choose song with lower bitrate, or you can backup data from MMC, format it in PC, and copy files back to MMC, it is better than defragmentation

My M75 plays the songs with a bitrate 320kbps. I think on the SXG is an other problem, and I suggest him to format the card ON THE PHONE again... It will allocate the right file system and dictionaries, 100% surely...

Hi hungeri & bonfire, thanks for your suggestion. I have done it. I use 32MB Sandisk, 256MB V-Gen and 1GB Kingston on my M75. All are OK.
But when I use them on SXG75, all become un-smooth.

It is impossible to FORMAT the card by the SXG75 itself!
No option on Settings\Phone\Filesystem....only Memory Assistant.
What I can do is formatting using PC and I have done it via card reader 23 in 1.
Nothing changed!

then maybe mp3s can be in very high bitrate...
i have CX75, SX1 and SXG75, i haven't got any problem with playing mp3s on SXG75, only when MP3 is in bitrate greater than 256kbps, then when i am listening MP3s and playing some games in one time, MP3 plays unsmooth, with interrupts, but when i play MP3 with smaller bitrate, it's OK...

or try to re-encode MP3s on PC with other compressor or settings (i am using newest LAME encoder, 128kbps VBR, and sound is small and good quality)

Some of the themes may affect the songs. I guess this problem occures when the mp3 name (or ID3tag) is too long - either make it shorter or jump out of the media player (using task handler button). Or you may change your theme

If M75 plays smoothly, then your sxg75 must be bad! I can't imagine othe way...

Perfect BEZY! Your analyse is correct. The sound becomes unsmooth because of themes selection.
When I use "AUDI" theme (see below), then sound quality becomes WORST.
But...when I choose "Eintracht" theme, sound quality is very GOOD.

Now I can enjoy MP3 smoothly.
Thanks to all of you guys, for your support.

Herry Potter
